Parent & Player Club Handbook

Shepshed Dynamo Y&J football club is committed to fostering a positive and organized environment for both players and their families. To ensure everyone is well-informed, we have created a comprehensive Parent and Player Handbook. This handbook serves as an essential resource, containing all the vital information parents need to know about our club. It includes details on our club’s mission, values, and code of conduct, as well as practical information such as training schedules, match day procedures, and communication protocols. By providing this handbook, we aim to promote transparency, enhance understanding, and ensure a cohesive experience for all members of our football community.

Annual Membership for a player is between £220 – £250 (Paid in instalments). This covers match day kit, training sessions, league fixtures and friendly matches.

There is usually an upfront cost at the start of the season followed by monthly instalments.

There may be additional one-off costs for events such as tournaments that tend to take place at the end of the football season.

Shepshed Dynamo Youth & Junior’s aim is to provide football opportunities for all, however, it is a volunteer-run club and therefore some age groups may have more capacity for players than others. We are currently looking for parents to start the next intake of young players. If you are interested in volunteering to coach your child’s team, please get in touch through the contacts page and we can answer any questions you may have.

The football season starts at the end of August and finishes in May (games may continue after training concludes at the ground).

A full set of policies can be found on the policy page, but we operate around RESPECT and FAIR PLAY. Players or families who do not display these values may be asked to leave. Additionally, the club’s parent and player handbook may answer any further questions you may have.

As part of the annual membership, each player will receive a Shepshed Dynamo Youth & Junior match day football kit. Training is to be attended in the Dynamo training/away kit (players’ own kit if they do not have this).

Each coach will advise directly (depending on age groups) but most ages train on a Wednesday evening with league and friendly matches taking place on either a Saturday or Sunday (league dependent).

Each coach will advise directly (depending on age groups). Training sessions usually take place in Shepshed on the Iveshead training fields or at Grace Dieu’s FCV International Football Academy.

Definitely, the Club is based around the principle of volunteer coaches and committee members, please get in touch through the contact page or contact us through social media if you want to help. FA training is provided for those who want to coach.
